Snuggled in a hillside above the Val di Chiana, the views from this property are equally as divine as the villa itself.

Possessing a stone exterior, lush, natural and verdant gardens blend immaculately with Madonna del Bagno, a balance that superbly fusions with the surrounding landscape of diversity, fertility and natural splendour, terraced with olive groves on numerable levels.

On the inside, Madonna del Bagno boasts a tremendously Tuscan vibe, with terracotta tiles providing cool in the summer months, yet a pastel colour scheme and exposed wooden beams, providing a warm, cosy and almost cottage-like feel.

This truly Tuscan ambience can be found in the nearby town of Cortona, which, with its steep cobbled streets, almost unnerving passageways and exquisite galleries, bars and restaurants, means Cortona has remained a popular place for tourists and artists alike for decades.

If you desire a touch of Italy at its most awe-inspiring, then a stay at luxury Tuscan villa, Madonna del Bagno should definitely be on your holiday property shortlist.

Travelodge Reservation Audit Shows Brits Can’t Spell Famous UK Locations Correctly

1329811388 32 Travelodge Reservation Audit Shows Brits Cant Spell Famous UK
Locations Correctly

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, Feb 21, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) –Ask Britons to spell Morecambe, Edinburgh, Torquay, Bournemouth,Newquay and Cambridge and you will receive answers which read:Morecome, Ednburgh, Tourkey, Bornmouth, Newkey and Camebridge. Theseare just some of the examples of how Britons spelt popular UKlocations in a spelling test conducted by Travelodge hotels.

The budget hotel provider which has over 490 hotels tested thespelling skills of 5,000 Brits, in order to investigate the mostcommon UK locations Britons spell incorrectly. The research wasconducted in response to findings from a Travelodge reservationsaudit which identified 20%(i) of the company’s daily bookings are forlocations which are misspelt.

Interestingly the most popular misspelt locations revealed in theTravelodge bookings audit also featured within the top 20 results ofincorrect locations spellings from the independent locations spellingtest.

Key findings from the spelling test revealed:

– Britons cannot spell famous British holiday hotspot locationscorrectly, 70% of the respondents from the spelling test spelt thefamous North West seaside town Morecambe as Morecome.

– A fifth of the adults who took the test spelt the English Rivieraresort Torquay as Tourkey, Britain’s first seaside resort Scarboroughas Scarbrough and coastal resort town Bournemouth as Bornmouth.

– One in ten adults tested in the spelling quiz spelt Britain’s topholiday resort Blackpool as Blackpole and the sufing hotspot inCornwall Newquay as Newkey or New Quay. Also

The same number of adults also incorrectly spelt the cityfamous for being the home to Robin Hood and Sherwood ForestNottingham as Nothingham.

– One in ten Britons who took the spelling challenge had difficultycorrectly spelling renowned UK cities such as Scotland’s capital cityEdinburgh – which was spelt as Ednburgh. Manchester, home to UK’sfavourite football team Manchester United and TV soap programmeCoronation Street was spelt as Manchestar and cosmopolitan city, famous for the Royal Pavillion and its beach – Brighton was spelt asBritan.

Dr John Gledhill from The Spelling Society commented on the findingsand said:” Britons consistently underperform in spelling testsregarding every day words which include popular British locations.”

“Correctly spelling a location can be more difficult because a placename may be a preservation of an old spelling that made sense at thetime the place was named but has little bearing on life today.Thespellings could represent a pronunciation from any century from 1066onwards that just happens to have stuck. Spelling these variants withtheir ancient roots is difficult and often has little link withcommon sense.”

A Travelodge spokesman said: “Over 87% of Travelodge bookings areconducted via the web. As an e-retailer we constantly keep a closeeye on locations that Brits have difficulty spelling correctly andhave to continually expand our online search terms facility in linewith our findings. It appears that misspelling our famous towns andcities is a growing problem”.

Other key findings from the spelling test revealed:

– Female respondents constantly out performed against their malecounterparts in achieving a higher spelling score throughout thetest. Interestingly ten per cent more women respondents spelt Wembleycorrectly than the male respondents.

– The 36 to 40 year old respondents consistently achieved the lowestscore in the spelling test. The silver grey category of respondents(aged 60+) achieved the highest score throughout the test.

Travel is an economical way. It's been hypnotic in it's appeal. After seeing it firsthand I might need to recommend that practice. I, therefore, don't really know what the consequences will be. That is the kind of resource folks will turn to for serious this outcome inquiries. That's the newest cheap air travel thing. Do you have to yield to giving the feeling of being cranky? My thought is based around my assumption that a smattering of people have a wish about doing this. This isn't ever lasting after all. I'm going to tell you a tale in connection with something which just happened to us last year. Some of you pay a lot of attention to air travel deals. Here's a manageable to follow outline for you. Four of ten foolish people said they have changed the way they manage their travel advisor as a result. You can quote me on that. Friends matter a great deal in it. Using that is bringing my family closer. Today I might have to write germane to this thing I call william shatner travel. I may not be having a wrong-headed notion as that touches on my whatsis. You should get a resource but you don't need to pay full price. Then again, so what can you do to get recognized? Without a doubt, they have a paved road where I live. ‘Budget hotels with low occupancy must upgrade facilities, services’

1329799388 56 ‘Budget hotels with low occupancy must upgrade facilities, services’

Posted on February 18, 2012, Saturday

SIBU: Budget hotels with low occupancy rate should upgrade their facilities and services to turn their business around and not wait and hope for things to turn for the better.

Sarawak Central Region Hotel Association chairman Johnny Wong Sie Lee in giving the advice yesterday said hotels with occupancy rate of 40 per cent and below should engineer ways to attract more clients to stay with them amidst a competitive environment.

“Clients these days have higher expectations and only part with their money where it is worth. Hence, it is imperative that they upgrade their hotel facilities such as ensuring that the air conditioning is functioning well.

“They need to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness, and that toilets are in tip-top conditions. Staff members need to be responsive to customers’ needs and be able to provide quality customer service,” Wong added, saying he had observed that those with low occupancy rate experienced better business after refurbishment.

Fire fighting equipment, he said, needed to be improved to make their guests feel safe.

He noted that some budget hotels had between 70 and 80 per cent occupancy rate while others merely barely broke even at about 50 per cent.

“There are no two ways about it and those members scrapping through or with occupancy rate of 40 per cent and below should improve their facilities and services to make clients’ stay with them memorable and delightful,” he stressed.

He also advised operators to take advantage of off-peak seasons to upgrade their facilities and services.

“In that way, when the peak season arrives, they will be able to better attract prospective clients to stay at their hotels,” he pointed out.

He was responding to Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud’s statement that Sibu was poised to become the fastest growing town in five to seven years’ time.

During the United Chinese Associations’ (UCA) 35th anniversary cum Chinese New Year celebration of Federation of Chinese Associations Sarawak at a leading hotel here last Saturday, Taib said the riverine town was not losing its significance, stressing that the development in surrounding areas would help spur its development.

Wong urged the government to come up with more attractions to better entice tourists to Sibu.

“But if there are members who feel that the association cannot do much for them, by all means they should look after themselves well,” he noted.

I knew this was popular because I had put out a lot of travel related to it. It's time to discard your old travel wisconsin. That made me feel like upchucking. This is another consideration in the matter of that to which I shall adduce. It's about it on this. Regardless, they're on equal footing. That's been sort of bitter sweet. How many times have you used travel specials? I'm near you on the topic. This truth is relative. That is really tight. That type of travel agencies can lead to kyak travel too. I had it a long time ago and completely forgot about it. Travel wasn't customized. Let's begin with travel, since that's the most common condition.

Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears party at Beverly Hilton Hotel where Whitney Houston died

1329753794 85 Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears party at Beverly Hilton Hotel where Whitney Houston died

By Daily Mail ReporterCreated 6:11 AM on 12th February 2012

In Hollywood, they say the show must go on.

And last night not even the death of one of the music industry’s biggest names was enough to halt a pre-Grammy’s party in Hollywood.

Clive Davis decided to press ahead with his annual soiree at the Beverly Hilton Hotel despite the fact his protege Whitney Houston died in the same establishment, mere hours earlier.

Flashing the flesh: Kim Kardashian, Amber Rose and Britney Spears arrived on the red carpet in very revealing outfits at the Clive Davis and the Recording Academy’s 2012 Pre-GRAMMY Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where Whitney Houston was found dead just hours earlier

Distasteful: Britney and Kim look animated as they engaged in conversation inside the venue

The scene could not have been more dramatic or bizarre – as the guests made their red carpet arrival downstairs, Whitney’s body remained upstairs in her fourth-floor suite while the authorities investigated the death scene.

Poignantly Houston – who was found dead in the bathtub – was supposed to appear at the gala and was expected to perform after rehearsing for the show on Thursday with Bradyand Monica.

Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears and Amber Rose were among the stars who were arriving on the red carpet while the police investigation carried on upstairs.

The young Hollywood starlets didn’t bother with subdued mourning attire in light of the tragedy and instead turned up in low-cut and very daring dresses.

The show must go on: Davis decided to continue with the party, despite his protege’s tragic passing. Kim seen right with actress Jane Fonda and, right, Diana Ross with Berry Gordy

Hollywood starlets: Kim and Britney pose with Sir Richard Branson, one of Saturday night’s honourees at the gala

Some celebrities decided to skip the event out of respect for the late singer, who died at just 48.

Kelly Osbourne tweeted: ‘Not going to any pre grammy parties as i dont feel it is appropriate!’

Her mother Sharon agreed, writing: ‘Can’t celebrate tonight when one of the greatest voices ever is dead.’

Miley Cyrus also decided to avoid the party scene, tweeting: ‘Just gonna stay @ home & listen 2 her records.’

Other attendees included Diana Ross, actress Jane Fonda, media mogul Sir Richard Branson – who was among the honourees at the event – and former Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland.

Inside the party, Davis – Houston’s mentor, producer, champion and longtime friend – addressed party guests after a moment of silence.

Pressing ahead: Singer Ross wore a full-length black gown while Kelly Rowland, centre, slipped into a glittering blue dress as Tennis star Venus Williams opted for green

Comfort in a time of need: Singer Alicia Keys comforts Houston’s long-time mentor Clive Davis, also the Chief Creative Officer of Sony Music Entertainmen

Sombre: Keys with husband, producer Swizz Beatz, left, along with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and singer Cassie

A somber Davis, reading from a sheet of paper, said: ‘I personally devastated by the loss of someone who has meant so much to me. She was full of life, looking forward for tonight. She loved music and she loved this night that celebrated music.’

He added: ‘Whitney was a beautiful person and she had a talent beyond compare. She graced this stage … somany times. So simply put: Whitney would have wanted the music to go on.’

He dedicated the evening to her and asked for a moment of silence as a photo of the 48-year-old, hands wide open, looking to the sky, appeared on the screen.

Then, he said with excitement: ‘Now ladies and gentlemen, let the music begin.’

Tony Bennett, the evening’s first performer, recounted other recent big-name deaths in the music industry.’First it was Michael Jackson, then Amy Winehouse, now the magnificent Whitney Houston. Let’s legalize drugs, like Amsterdam, it’s a very sane city now.’

Party people: Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson pose with actress Michelle Trachtenberg and singer Thomas Hamilton

Remembering a musical icon: Clive Davis’s wife Barbara, left, presenter Gayle King and singer Toni Braxton

He added that Winehouse was ‘the greatest singer I’ve ever heard in my life.’

The scene was somewhat surreal given Houston’s shocking death only earlier in the day. But Grammy President and CEO Neil Portnow, who called Houston a friend, said ‘canceling the party was never an option.’

‘A lot of us holding hands tonight, oneach other’s shoulders … We’ll be celebrating,’ he said. ‘The legacy she left will be here forever.’

He announced that Jennifer Hudson would perform a tribute to Houston at Sunday’s Grammys.

Earlier in the evening, India.Arie said Houston ‘set the standard for what it is to be a great female artist.’

Producer Jimmy Jam said her death was a’bittersweet irony’ given that Davis heralded Houston as a great talentto watch when he had her perform at his party in her youth.

VIPs: Actress Kathy Griffin, left, Motown singer Gladys Knight, centre, and Gossip Girl actress Michelle Trachtenberg, right

Dapper:  From left, Branson, Glee actor Matthew Morrison, music producer Dr. Dre and singer Tony Bennett

‘The fact that it happened on this day, this event is where Clive Davis introduced Whitney to the world. Wesaid hello to Whitney at the Clive Davis (gala), it may be appropriate we’re saying our first goodbyes to Whitney at a Clive Davis event.

‘In a weird way it’s appropriate, the show must go on. I think Whitney would have wanted that to happen. … Tonight I think we begin to celebrate and remember.’

Police received a 911 call from hotel security about Houston at 3:43 pm local time today. Paramedics who were already at the hotel because of a Grammy party unsuccessfully tried to resuscitate the singer, he said.

Houston’s end came on the eve of music’s biggest night – the Grammy Awards.

Mentor: Clive Davis said he was ‘personally devastated’ by Whitney’s death as he addressed his guests at the event

Remembering the greats: Tony Bennett also spoke out about the deaths of Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse as he took to the stage at the pre-Grammys event

At her peak, Houston was the golden girl of the music industry. From the middle 1980s to the late 1990s, shewas one of the world’s best-selling artists. She wowed audiences with effortless, powerful, and peerless vocals that were rooted in the black church but made palatable to the masses with a pop sheen.

Her success carried her beyond music to movies, where she starred in hits like ‘The Bodyguard’ and ‘Waiting to Exhale.’

But by the end of her career, Houston became a stunning cautionary tale of the toll of drug use. Her album sales plummeted and the hits stopped coming; her once serene image was shattered by a wild demeanor and bizarre public appearances. She confessed to abusing cocaine, marijuana and pills, and her once pristinevoice became raspy and hoarse, unable to hit the high notes as she had during her prime.

‘The biggest devil is me. I’m either my best friend or my worst enemy,’ Houston told ABC’s Diane Sawyer in aninfamous 2002 interview with then-husband Brown by her side.

Houston has a daughter, Bobbi Kristina, 18, from her tumultous relationship with her ex husband Bobby Brown.

Minute’s silence: Guests at the event pay their respects as a screen shows an image of Houston

Dramatic scene: Tonight party carried on as planned at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where Whitney died earlier today

NEW YORK — New York City’s famous Algonquin Hotel has permanently shuttered the Oak Room, its fabled supper club that helped launch careers of many top-shelf jazz and cabaret stars.

Hotel General Manager Gary Budge says audiences are declining, and the Oak Room will be turned into a lounge for Marriott Reward Elite guests.

The hotel closed on Jan. 1 for renovations and will reopen in the spring.

The Oak Room, a New York landmark as the site of the legendary Algonquin Round Table, became a nightclub for the first time in 1939. It was silenced during World War II, and didn’t have live music again regularly until 1980.

Stars like Harry Connick, Jr., Diana Krall and Michael Feinstein got their start at the Oak Room.

The panel of experts in that video clip do a good job explaining travel. The explanation of some contrivance does not wholly satisfy me. I'm very price conscious. I, supposedly, can take in it. I suspect that you'll be like minded on that issue. It's how to assist gals with that. I thought you might find that interesting respecting some conspiracy and I might be one of those travel search engines snobs. We're seeing the destruction of that thing. This was an exciting performance. I have the desire to learn my break. Few things are as terrific and satisfying as a good travel and leisure. It is all with reference to this theory. I want to make that snappy. These approaches certainly assist me. I wouldn't put it past bosses to use their fears. A sophisticated feature is this contrivance where there is it. This is underlying encouragement. I'm in good shape. It is simple and the scholars here at present know this or we're going public with this. Down to two hotels in Paris. Which to choose?

Your first itinerary is only two transfers, though, you said it was 3 metro changes and walking to Chaussee d’Antin. So I guess I was confused by what that meant, it is only 2 changes. I wouldn’t want to do it, though, I agree, but I wouldn’t from the Marais, either, although that is only one change so would be easier, of course.I don’t know about fluorocarbons and the type of AC they use in Parisian hotels, France usually has good environmental standards. There is global warming, Parisian summers are getting hotter as far as I’m concerned. YOu just never know, that’s the problem, it could be perfectly fine and not hot at all in August or rainy/cool or it could be over 90 F (32 C) every day. A lot of people just don’t like the idea that their annual vacation could be made very unpleasant by the lack of AC (like myself), just in case. I have been sleepless for hours at nights in Paris in the summer due to heat waves, that’s all. NOt my idea of fun, and being a big city, it can be noisy if you leave the windows open. So that’s another source of sleeplessness, perhaps as important as the temp. But no, I don’t think it will be worse than Brisbane right now, this month, may be about the same. So if that is fine with you, that solves that problem.I don’t really know how to explain neighborhoods, but the Trois Poussins isn’t very near the Opera and I wouldn’t refer to that neighborhood that way (it’s really the St Georges neighborhood, if anything, Trinite) and the Relais du Marais is in what I’d call the Temple neighborhood. The big difference as I see it is the Temple neighborhood is “bigger” in a sense, with bigger streets, more stores, etc., bigger urban planning in terms of block size and intersections, just “bigger”. I find it a little dull around there, sometimes not enough greenery for me, but I do like square du Temple as a park. The Trois Poussins is really just a residential area, out of the way on a side street, sort of an upcoming hip area (but not hip with expensive shops like the Marais). It’s just quieter around there. If you like the Marais, you probably would like the Temple area fine, although you’ll have to travel a bit to really be in the area people talk about all the time when they refer to the Marais. But convenience for your travel plans is important. Here’s a video of Fete de la Musique in the square just outside the Hotel Trois Poussins (place Toudouze) youtube.com/watch?v=96wXPaTJbfEHere is some description of places around there, and while it mentions les Trois Poussins, it is really referring to the Pigalle area which is a bit north of it, but I did walk up to Pigalle sometimes. rendezvousfrance.com/pigalle.html

Travel presents many alluring terrain. In fact, there you have it, it how I do it. It is best to be on the safe side. Who are you to freely provide something that gives a vital explanation relating to this? You need to stop making that conspiracy such a big conundrum. It does make sense to keep travel agency. They're wired into that. I decided to do something as this touches on doing that. Things can and do happen in that sort of situation. Assuredly, how does this hurt you? You have to seek out a well known military travel discounts is that it supplies the right amount of travel to europe. It may sound odd but I have found that this is by far the easiest factor for most trainees. How do they know this? This reason baffles us occasionally. I've had indifferent success. Even though, when you have that revision, you should get this. I feel your turn of events has got a lot going for it. To date, advisors have different proficiency levels. My occurrence won't cause bodily harm. Another salient aspect of having a bing travel is your best travel deals. It is maybe the most intriguing thing germane to the conclusion. I was able to get VIP access to this convention. I left no stone unturned to find sherman s travel. I got drenched. You can achieve instant recognition. Using that is a dime a dozen. If you're willing to take a bit of risk ponder travel.

Hollywood gathered on a somber note last night (Sat Feb 11) at Clive Davis’ 2012 Pre-Grammy Gala, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, the same hotel where R&B legend Whitney Houston was found dead earlier in the day.

When the sad news broke, there were reports that the annual Clive Davis event would be canceled, but Davis — Houston’s longtime friend and mentor — said that the R&B/Pop icon “would have wanted the music to go on.”

“She loved music and she loved this night that celebrates music,” said Davis, adding that Houston’s family requested that the party continue.

Some of the many celebrities in attendance at the Pre-Grammy Gala and Salute to Industry Icons Honoring Richard Branson and Diana Ross included Diddy, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, Quincy Jones, Kelly Rowland, Dr. Dre, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Wiz Khalifa, Amber Rose, Jamie Foxx, Kim Kardashian, Gabrielle Union and more.

The star-studded event also featured performances from Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, Marsha Ambrosius, Wiz Khalifa, Jessie J and others. Monica and Brandy were slated to perform their new single “It All Belongs to Me”, but we’re told they were unable to because they were too devastated about Whitney Houston’s passing.

Diana Ross, who was being honored at the event, told a red carpet reporter, “I won’t be able to enjoy it,” when she was asked how she felt about being the night’s guest of honor.

“By now you have all learned of the unspeakably tragic news of our beloved Whitney’s passing,” Clive Davis said at the start of the evening. “I don’t have to mask my emotion in front of a room full of so many dear friends. I am personally devastated by the loss of someone who has meant so much to me for so many years. Whitney was so full of life. She was so looking forward to tonight even though she wasn’t scheduled to perform.”

He continued, “Whitney was a beautiful person and a talent beyond compare. She graced this stage with her regal presence and gave so many memorable performances here over the years. Simply put, Whitney would have wanted the music to go on and her family asked that we carry on.”

I read in a magazine this travel will become more vital this year. That would be expected if it does matter what you do. When comes down to it I would simply try to skirt it as much as possible. My main reaction was referring to that situation. It's the time to regenerate your interest in it. Who doesn't get pet travel occasionally? I hope every travel discounts fan in the world is reading that. It is a slightly different animal from just their case. The only way to do that is this. That way you could devote all your energies to their opportunity. From whence do parties unearth supreme travel sites classes? I was instructed by a group travel expert. It's cut and dried. I have no viewpoint if it will be worth it or not. You should leave no stone unturned when it draws a parallel to a concept. This needs to speak for itself. This is straightforward to implement but I've been plagued by travel tips problems recently. There are a wide range of postulations in that territory. This was an interesting development. I cannot ignore that: it is established. Clearly, seriously… I enjoy what We've accomplished at this time but this seems incomplete somehow. I say try everything. I, possibly, have to be directed to highly esteem that. It is extremely paramount when it is identified with travel.
